Each authenticated API call counts once toward that endpoint group's own monthly quota - every group has a separate bucket. The bulk endpoint counts as a single request no matter how many items you look up.
You get a 429 with a clear message naming the endpoint group - and only that group is paused; the rest keep working. Per-minute rate limits and the per-endpoint quotas all scale with your plan - upgrade any time for higher limits.
