Terms of Service

Last updated: 13 July 2026

These Terms govern your access to and use of the Steam Data API and this website (together, the “Service”), operated by Steam Data API (“we”, “us”). By creating an account, generating an API key, or calling the API, you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, don’t use the Service.

1. The Service

The Service provides a read-only REST API and dashboard exposing current prices, price history, cross-market comparison and item metadata for Counter-Strike 2 and Rust items, aggregated from the Steam Community Market and third-party marketplaces. It is an informational data product - it does not buy, sell, hold, or broker any items, currency or trades.

2. Accounts & API keys

3. Acceptable use

You may use the Service to build applications, bots, marketplaces, analytics and similar products. You must not:

Building a product that displays or acts on our data (a price site, a Discord bot, a trading tool) is fine; rebuilding and redistributing our dataset itself is not.

4. Plans, billing & refunds

5. Data accuracy & availability

The data is provided “as is”. Prices are aggregated from third-party sources, may be delayed, incomplete, or inaccurate, and change constantly. Nothing here is financial, investment, or trading advice.

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service, and free-tier usage carries no uptime commitment. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service, including endpoints and coverage, at any time.

6. Third parties & trademarks

We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Valve Corporation, Steam, or any of the marketplaces we reference (CSFloat, Skinport, WhiteMarket, DMarket, Waxpeer, and others). All product names, logos and trademarks are the property of their respective owners. Your use of Steam and those marketplaces remains subject to their own terms.

7. Intellectual property

The Service - its software, API design, dashboard and documentation - is ours and protected by law. Underlying market prices are facts we aggregate; these Terms grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the API output within your own products, subject to Section 3.

8. Suspension & termination

We may suspend or terminate your access immediately for breach of these Terms, non-payment, abuse, or to comply with law. You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. Sections that by their nature should survive (e.g. 5, 7, 9, 10) survive termination.

9. Disclaimers & limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any trading, financial or data loss arising from your use of, or reliance on, the Service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim.

10. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims, losses and expenses arising out of your use of the Service or your breach of these Terms.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be posted here with a new “last updated” date and, where appropriate, notified by email or in the dashboard. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept them.

12. Governing law & contact

These Terms are governed by the laws of Sweden, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Questions? Contact us at [email protected] or on our Discord.
